With more people using video on their website I see the following error over and over.

First let me say that I believe that using video on your website is a good idea, provided it is done correctly. We often see the video that has been put on the page below the top of the website. (Hidden beneath the bottom edge of the screen), this is fine, but not when the video is on autoplay!

The biggest mistake I see people do with putting video on your website is that you are using a service like YouTube, which is fine, but put the video code in the page as is. What happens when you do this is when the video ends showing related videos which the visitor can click on.

This is bad for several reasons. Most important is the fact that the user now has an option to view a video on or continue your subscription sales process … hmm What choice do you think happens here often?

A second issue is that the video displays may well be related video from your competitor selling a similar newsletter! Now visitors have a choice, not only to see another video, but may be interested in another publication.

Well, before you go out and rip all the YouTube videos of its kind since reading your web pages because this is an easy correction. By getting the "embed" code in your video, click the small gear icon next to that URL. That is the "customize" button. This lets you check the box that says "Include related videos, you can select other options are, and whether to show a border or to choose a different size to the game.

Once you have the settings as you like, take direction and after that page. And, of course, upload the new page of your site and watch the video through all the way to ensure you see the expected results.

Finally, do not assume your visitors know how the web video players work, you want to be simple for any level of visitor of the site can view the video. You can do this by adding a line of text (in a smaller font) that says "click the play button with the triangle to see the video" I even suggest you add a button icon, or an arrow pointing button.

I know it sounds simple, but the command will give you more visual real video is played.
